Morey was charged with acting with Brian Michael McDevitt, 20, of Swampscott, Mass., in an elaborate plan involving the abduction of a delivery van driver, to stea art from the Hyde [Collection]
on Decmeber 22, 1980.
Police said the plot failed when the suspects got bogged down in holiday traffic and got to the museum after it closed.
McDevitt is free on $25,000 bail pending court action in December
